do I have to invest in a flag for the convoy then?? lol looking forward to this (head skimmed and new gaskets, timing belt etc done, lets hope bugger all else big goes!!
 
We might be coming from Yorkshire now instead of Newcastle…

Which route would you take, we will coming from the east but could meet up around where the M18 meets the M1 if that's the route you're taking?

Think we were going set off in the morning at some point :)

I need to book time off work too... Going to have to go back on the Monday so no recovery time for me :eek:
 
Meet junction 40 M 1 - 11 am
Depart - 11.30 am
1st stop, Woodall services - 12.30pm
Depart services. 1pm
Exit M1 junction 19 (10 mins to camp area)
Provisional times, all convoy peeps confirm timings are provisionally ok
Convoy top speed will be 50mph (to enable convoy to stay together)
Cb radio a must (operating channel 16)
Flags optional but preferred.
Recovery - self recovery (between us all think we could fix everything)
Anything else????????? Anything I have missed
 
Just a thought for the "bigger than yours" convoy. Are there rules about informing Gestapo and SS about such things?

whereabouts at junct 40? or what about woolley services?
 
Not sure about having to inform police about convoy, don't see why they need to knows has we don't want roads closing or any special treatment.
Junction 40 - could either be outside my house 1/2 mile from junction or
Just after exit is a small industrial estate, no real parking but not busy enough not to be able to pull up on side of road.
 
We don't have a cb in my landy and it will cost too much bring the other landy over from holland. How much of a must is a cb?
