got a bit more done today, cleaned some more of the block up, should have some paint on it this week, probably just gonna go black with the block and clean up the ally parts and maybe puff a bit of silver on them. Looks allright for 170k!

got a few more bits done, some days i get loads done and others seem to drag! getting a bit fed up wit the mechanical stuff now just want to start painting some stuff! bloody exhaust stud in the manifold is doing my head in, tried welding 2 nuts to it but no joy! is it worth taking it to an engineer shop to drill it out and rethread it? i wouldnt trust my self drilling and retapping threads.

been a loooong time since i updated anything here are some pics for your eyes what are the 2 relays that connect to the yellow part that connects to the fuse board? i know its a starter relay, can anyone point me in the direction where to buy them or part numbers so i can find some? autosparks do relays but not sure what voltage etc i need?

hi jake, i have a small compressor i brought from machine mart that i use to paint with, its 2 pack primer 4:1 with renault dynamic blue over the top direct gloss 2:1 so no need for laquer, then in some places ive used 3M schutz/underseal sprayed on with the special gun you can get.

Yeh it is quite bright, I wanted to do Orkney grey but the Mrs said then it'll be the same as all the others so wanted something a bit different! Been a panel beater for a few years, only dabbled in paint a few times! Pleased with the result tho

Looks good from the pics. I sprayed mine also and my mate was astounded at the quality. I was I over here like this is a shot job. Turned my garage into A paint booth not sure how legal that is.

did you do the p gasket on the engine? if not, do it before you stick it all back together

P gasket is the one for water pump assembly? One shaped like a p basically? If so Yeh all ready done that, done every gasket on the block
