get the cement delivered. You can not mix it fast enough to get a good pour. You will end up with cold bond between the batches you mix. And to wet of mix gives a weak concrete

its not for the concrete but for the mortor for the blocks, the base is already poured, it took 7cubes

Have you looked at batch-mix wagons, we had one a couple of years since for a 5mx5mx100mm workshop base for my grandad and that was about £400 all in, in Barnsley.

Doesnt need to, just needs to keep up with me, and seeing as ill be mixing and laying blocks its no big shakes

You'll need a break watchin the mixer going round then, ( he's away with the mixer ) ever heard that

yeah but so far this build has taken 3 years and ive only got a base as yet, ive been so busy with work etc.
Ive ordered all the blocks, sand and cement to complete.
Ive had several offers of a loan (cheers Guys) but would sooner have my own, doesnt matter if it takes a while then really

Thanks everyone, i have now aquired said mixer.
I have 550 concrete blocks arriving monday morning, along with 2 tonnes of sand and 16 bags of cement.
Might start a garage build thread when ive started.
Im looking forward to being able to fit both 90`s in and work on either of them under cover with out having to travel 15 miles to where its kept now

Yeah cheers for the heads up Trewey i dont really get weight and volume being a sparks so dont really know, its just what the builders merchant said i needed, but i guess its better coming from the guy who does it rather than the guy who sells it.
I asume a ratio of 3 sand to 1 cement?
