Its got 4 small holes in different places through the cores so might as well get a new one, at least I know its not going to re-occur then and as the garage is fitting it if theres any problems its on them. I don't like the idea of using radweld either

Cheers, I just want it back now….they've decided to test my scruffy wiring to see if its safe too I reckon it is, its been safe for the last 3 months after all just rather scruffy as I've not shrink wrapped it together into one mega cable……its covered in gaffer instead

Good Good Providing you have some form of insulation, there shouldn't be a problem, but you can never be too careful with electrics

I know but I'm happy with it as is I'm just going to have to add more wires to what they tidy up anyway when I fit the air horn

If jammed try rocking in gear whilst trying to start or tap gently on started with hammer

Hooverd all the mud and **** out of it after its weekends hard work. Brought all the new filters for it recently, only to find the only one that was correct was the oil filter as the engine bay still had the original 19j fittings, things like the air box and fuel filter. Rather a pain, also found out I didn't have spanner big enough to take the drain plug out so could change the oil anyway. Waste of time. Largest I've got is a 27mm, and its 28, typical.

You need to get yourself a proper Land Rover tool kit. Large spanners and even larger hammers

Nothing for the past few days, haven't been driving it because I am fortunate enough to have been given a company van to drive to Blaenau FFestiniog to do some outage work Just got to make sure when I eventually hop in it this weekend that the battery isn't flat :doh:

Finally managed to fit the new speedo cable to my 90. Spent about half an hour trying to fit the head part and had to file the cable end down. Success. Also sorted the leaking exhaust down pipe and the front seat.

Pulled an Ivy covered fence down .. about 12' long, the same high, and about 6' deep! Didn't know 'cos it was so overgrown that I'd also pulled two concreted in posts out and pulled up half the paving slabs behind!!

It's been blocking the front of school for years, and as we've had a new Offices/Front Entrance built, it had to go! Workmen were trying to saw it in bits and fit it into a single small skip ... the one in the pics is the second skip full of fence/ivy, we reckon it'll need another two!

I reckon we needed a bonfire, but local regs forbid it, apparently .. spoilsports!

Looks much nicer now .. the rest might come down soon, but if it does, I'll be towing it out as one, not as a 'knocked over' pile o' ****e ...

Replaced input gear and bearings on tbox, changed oil, replaced front drive members and changed axle oil, replaced speedo and cable. Almost all the transfer slack gone now got to change springs and rear drive members and sort siezed front caliper tomorrow. Too bloody hot fer all this.:beer:

**** easy mate, for now i have replaced the rear bearing and race and re-used the old front one as i ain't got time to pull the box off to replace the front one, i will replace this in a couple of weeks when it all comes off for clutch and crank seal. took 20 mins mate and made a shed load of difference.

****ed off with it, the rads been fixed but I cant get it back til they check the wiring because it looks scruffy……..

Its been running like that since April all ground out properly and set up with relays with single or twin fuses depending it just looks untidy cos theres no shrink tubing on it
