right been round all hoses and someone had taped the overflow pipe on header tank up undone it run engine for 20 min been out for a good drive no overheating water level fine no over pressuring not sure if it has cured problem because id like to no why it was taped up could it be masking another...

im not trying to take short cuts but it was local land rover dealer who advised me to try it first he said it could be porous block and this would cure it and its only over heated 1 time yesturday and when i got home topped it up and let it run to temp it didnt go passed half way on temp seemed...

right update ive had a word with my mate who is a machanic he says to try this kseal first if it dont work he will do the gasket for me but im unsure how many litres of water it holds as this kseal does cooling systems up to 20 litres can anyone tell me if i need 2 bottles or will 1 be enough...

stupid question what is a short motor

no condensation ,carpets dry would there be any power loss if head gasket cos its like shi of a shovel it runs so lovely the rad looks like new i thought it was air but i stuck hose on and flushed it through but it still bubbles not constant every 40-50 secs

i think your right about h/gasket or cracked /porous block overheated today only went 6 miles took cap off and water shot out like a gizer over pressured rang local L/R and they told me i might get away with putting in something like radweld but its from america £80 supposed to work does anyone...

ive had it running 20 mins and the only water that has leaked is from having the cap off and me filling it no water leaks i can see been round all pipes i can see and nothing on drive way if i was losing half a kettle full it was either nearly empty or id have a realy bad leak wouldnt i????????

ive just took cap of and run engine at first it pushed out some water from out the top then it levelled off then it went down i prusume thats the pump there is 2 pipes at the top and the 1 i think must be an overflow cause i can see water comming from it also its bubbling is this normal
