Basically the cage pioneer provides won't for in place the aperture left when the stereo is taken out, a double din cage kit has to be bought which allows the pioneer unit to be bolted to the larger cage to hold it in place as opposed to it just sliding into it and clicking in place.. :)

Thanks for the reply.. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think that will fit as it needs to be bolted in behind dashboard, and the pioneer comes with its own trim panel and cage but not correct for fitting into freelander aperture. :(

Hi mate, mine has a small detachable anti theft front panel on it. On the front of the unit it just says 'navigation system' which I believe is the Becker head unit. Also it has the steering wheel controls on it. Everything works except the display! Drives me mad :(

My harmon kardon stereo has lost all it's display but still works fine, any ideas on if an easy fix or which metal prongs are for the display on the detachable front panel? Thanks guys in advance!

sorted now, there is a locating lug at the bottom on dashboard which needs to be to the right and the spring goes to the left :)

haha like ya style! mates ripped his out and i can see where spring goes, just cant work out how it stays shut under tension so when you press it it pops out!

the other day i thought id clean up the cup holders and remove them, they came ot easy but i cant re fit them so that they are sprung and pop out when you push them, i think its because i cant work out which way the spring goes or if it clips in a special way, any help and tips MASSIVELY grateful !

Done it twice when iv been stuck, diesel in and no priming and mine started 1st time both times, maybe I was lucky!

Cheers guys got it sorted !! Me being thick! Piece of pi55 too, they mount to the triangular outriggers by clamping to the lip on the outrigger itself , thank you all!!!
