    P38 Rear trailing Arm bushes?

Ok having done the P38 hockey stick bushes on the front and using the special tool to achieve this i want to do the rear bushes. The bushes appear to be the plastic outer same as the front so i assume they have to have a compression tool aswell but i can find no reference to a tool part no or if...

solution to this was modifying remap and detuning a little and reseting the boost again :)

    Disco 2 TD5 Overboost

not high from the research i read between 55-70kg/hr and since this has no cat/egr less restriction for turbo, engine was cold and only run long enough to check live data on airflow. Went for a run with maf disconnected but didn't go far then gonna have another proper run tomorrow to see how she...

    Disco 2 TD5 Overboost

boost reached 239.9 according to live data on map sensor but still limped with overboost codes. AAP 106 . Fitted a new maf tonight and air flow at idle up to 69kg/hr from 10kg/hr didn't have chance to test drive though.

    Disco 2 TD5 Overboost

Ok playing with a td5 i have had to repair basically everything on the bloody thing but this is the latest fault. Its an automatic and it all started with a big flat spot when started you can rev - it will reach nearly 3200 rpm flat as a pancake then punch you in the face with boost and from...

2001 Range Rover P38 4.6 intermittant non start

Solution to this P38's problems was a knackered Crank sensor and a corroded wire in the white terminal blocks in n/s footwell. Car eventually failed altogether so scoped crank sensor with no output. Wiring in the footwell was one of the centre pins in a connector had corroded away completely so...

2001 Range Rover P38 4.6 intermittant non start

i think both checked for spark with timing light when not starting and no rpm signal don't get any fuel smell or black smoke when it does start - pump still primes with ignition as i checked with a pressure gauge

2001 Range Rover P38 4.6 intermittant non start

New genuine fusebox was £142.30 so not that bad but didn't fix the problem but seems to have fixed a few other gremlins just intermittent non start with no logical reasoning for it. Had a stint earlier where it wouldn't start for 10mins then suddenly just fired up and restarted 20 times in a row...

2001 Range Rover P38 4.6 intermittant non start

so in theory stripdown cleaning and resoldering of the fusebox would be possible to repair if that is the issue. The relay wammers was talking about is the one marked with a key on the lid of the fuse box right. Just making sure i was fiddling the correct one.

2001 Range Rover P38 4.6 intermittant non start

See fuse box pop up a lot when searching about this fault what exactly is it that goes wrong is it corrosion or pcb failure? This is a proper chelsea tractor don't think its ever been off road. Spent the last few years in a garage dry stored not being used. Cheers for the input people

2001 Range Rover P38 4.6 intermittant non start

It was a coincidence :( Started spot on for about 50 attempts left it alone locked for a while and then took three attempts to start again. Tried the other key which does not seem to have an operational led although starts the car just aswell as the key i had been playing with. Checked the relay...
