Hi all, Looking for some advice again. I very rarely engage low range on my defender, but recently tried it on an uneven lane, and found that it engages okay, but then disengages as soon as I pull away. Also the light on the dash isn't lighting up when engaged. Has anyone got any ideas please...

Hi everyone, I've just had a new rear crossmember fitted. Should I get the chassis waxoyled? It'll cost a couple of hundred quid, is it worth doing? What's the consensus please? Cheers, Cliff

I had similar issue - turned out to be cheap bulb holders. Fitted genuine LR ones and job done.

Took the Landry back to the garage, turns out they had fitted replaced the bulb holders and didn't have any genuine ones in stock, so had used cheaper aftermarket ones. They fitted genuine ones and she's right now. Thanks for all the replies though. Cliff.

Selling my td5csw in the autumn, on the rear crossmember, there's surface rust and one small area where the rust is a little deeper, not a hole though. Is it better to leave it original (she's a 2001, with 72000k), or change it? Opinions please? Thanks in advance.

Managed to get my hand down the duct on the n/s wing, and fan was solid. got it moving freely by hand, but still the blower isn't working, although it's not blowing the fuse any more. I don't know what to do next??
