I would say its a failed EGR or maybe even both Because your pre 2007, best way would be to buy a balnking kit and take the EGR's out of the equation completly I have the Bell Auto's kit fitted to mine. Quality bit of kit, great instructions, easy to do DIY, and fixed my sluggish problems...

I bought my 300tdi in a run down state and have proceeded to restore it and get an MOT The arches and doors although intact dont look the best, so I purchased a set of plastic arches as per the link below...

So are the recon boxes from MM4x4 OK? Seem to cheap to be true? My steering box has started to drip and failed an MOT, so need to get it replaced

I am trying to remove the injector pump and when i am setting it to TDC on the flywheel the pin position on the injector pump is near the 6 oclock position where all manuals and photos show it in the 11oclock position. Is this a problem or can the position be different? Thanks

Thanks Lerk, I just needed a breaker bar, the haynes manual said to use a ring spanner, but it wasn't moving with a spanner! Thanks again Ade
