OK so things not going well for me in my new ownership.
I have noticed today that there is a really annoying moaning sound coming from the rear that gets faster as the vehicle gets faster.
I have also noticed that when turning corners (full left I think), there is a much harder rouger sound.
I have been reading on here all night and think it is either / and
1. Rear Wheel Bearings
2. VCU
3. VCU Bearings
So, to save some time and money I want to try and eliminate this myself.
If I disconnect the rear prop shaft between the VCU and rear diff, would this eliminate the VCU, or do I have to disconnect both props ? (I assume this puts the vehicle in "Mondo Mode" then and is safe to drive.
Do I actually have to remove the VCU and props or can they be left on but disconnected.
Thanks
