hi i just got a s3 with a diahatsu donkey in it and a 4 speed box im wanting to fit a tdi into the old dog with the 5 spd box with diff lock can anybody point me in the direction of any threads or guides on here that might help
regards stui

We did a 300tdi into a 2a, quite an easy fit but a bit tricky to get the engine mounts in the right place.

whats the crack with taking the turbo off ect is that because the axles cant hack it or is it ok if you are running the tdi box? i presume the half shafts and diff would be only really up to 80ish hp?
and do the defender props work on the series axles ?

i did think that there would be a guide or something floating about i did google it but it just took me round in circles wiyhout being a member of anything hence why im here

aye as i say round and round in circles i know it will physically fit ect but unsure of what propshafts to use and as you say if my standard axles can hack it and was wondering if thats why they get deturboed

theres a hell of a lot of work to do moding the chassis to fit the tdi box, i did a 200 tdi into a s11a swb with no probs but i used the std s11a box but recon'd, fitting a 200 into a s111 swb is easier than a s11a as you don't have the prob with the intercooler and headlights but as i can't weld i fitted a steve parker exhaust the plumbing for the turbo is pretty easy although a lot of peops shy away from keeping the turbo on why i don't know and my fabrication skills are crap, these are some pics i still have left.

think if you have a good gearbox you should be ok in my case my bro and i had refurbed the gearbox 12 months earlier as i fully rebuilt the landy ran it for a year then decided on a 200 tdi conversion as i nu the gearbox was ok think you only run into probs when you fit the engine to a well worn gearbox.
