Unlocked the landy this morning with the remote but found I couldn't get into the tailgate. The lock button seemed to be going up and down with the remote, just wasnt lifting it quite far enough to unlock so had to hlod the tailgate lock open with the key while I pulled the handle or go in over the back seat to lift the lock button to operate the internal handle.
Had the solenoid off and cleaned the actuating arm that the rod connects to, plugged it back in and it seemed ok until I reconnect the rod. Once it had the weight of the locking mechanism to move it just wouldnt lift the lock button high enough to unlock.
Done the searches, lots of info about lubricating the lock but I have found on ebay a replacement tailgate lock spring. Dont know where it goes but I cant see a spring anywhere on the lock so I guess it could have broken and fallen off.
Any how, regardless of whether or not it a spring, since refitting the actuator it now works IN REVERSE to the rest of the locks ,ie when the doors lock the tailgate button goes up and vice versa. Is there a way of resetting it to work in unison with the other locks? Tried disconnecting it and reconnecting when all locked and all unlocked, tried manually matching its open/closed position but it still keeps working in reverse? Any ideas please?

That's it all down trial & error, just disconnect the rod from the actuator and unlock the five doors and reconnect the rod and lock the doors. If there is still an issue then unlock again and disconnect the rod then operate the actuator (pull or push) once by hand and reconnect the rod. U just have to get the actuator's armature to be in the unlock position when all the doors are unlocked.

Thanks discool, I'll give it a whirl tomorrow afternoon. Assuming I get it to work in unison with the other actuators, what you reckon about the broken/missing spring theory? Or is the fact that it wont lift the button enough to unlock the door due to the actuator being old and tired?
Cheers

Sorry I forgot about that, but all I can say is that is a symptom of a broken or missing spring.
