i have just picked my range rover up from garage after havin my becm repaired by a nice man in brighton an nice bill too :( since havin it back i am gettin fuse 12-14-an 15 error message yet fuses are good an loads of things dont work now for example my tailgate wont open my remote central lockin wont work interior lights dont work heated rear screen an drivers side front an rear lights dont work n front fog lights so any ideas what it could be or should i send it back to garage so they can send becm back as this is second becm ive brought now an thought as this one has been repaired i would of thought it would of come back with no errors so if anyone has a cheap quick fix id be really grateful for any advise as petrol an matches are gettin closer lol

replaced his original Becm which was faulty and supplied another keyfob using the blade to the car after reprogramming the exchange becm to suit the new keyfob code. The replacement becm was programmed to my own car beforehand and worked fine. When the becm was shipped back to him, I told him , as I tell everyone, that if there were any problems, to send it back to me and I would sort it out F.O.C.
Apparently he did have a problem but decided to take the car to a local garage instead of telling me. If the Becm had been returned to me, it would have been sorted quicker and cheaper than taking the route chosen.
Could be that his fuse box is the root cause of the problem.

Finally, I would like to think that both Rick and myself provide a first class service to members on here and others and if things go wrong...as they do infrequently, we do our best to resolve them as quickly as possible.

no one is perfect and tbh its never gonna be easy to get things right via the post. i would have no doubt that you would put things right if there were any errors, its a shame ppl dont let the helpful ones sort things before they go elsewhere!!! suppose thats why the bill is high!!

i doubt it will reflect on your skills or honesty john, its just a shame that the op dint allow you to sort it!!!

Thanks Gav.
I always programme any replacement Becm's first to my own P38 and fit them to check they are working 100% before I programme them to the customers car. I have almost finished building a test rig which will enable live checks on functionality including engine ecu handshake before they are shipped. This will save me pulling the seat out of the P38 although I can change a becm over in about 5 minutes flat now !!!

Hiya "J" not too bad thanks.
Hope you are keeping well...Do you see anything of Gemsdad or Mike Polly, get plenty of emails from Gems but haven't heard from Mike for ages. I take it your motor is going well.
Fair play to you for sorting the resynchs out, there are a good few happy bunnies out there that you have helped out :praise:

Over next week for a while, during that time we are heading off to Crete (Again) for a couple of weeks, before coming home around 7th October.

hiya irish, glad you are still sorting out the becm's for bods on here,as for mike polly, not heard from him since you did his becm,or shortly after anyway.hope you are well and keep up the great work you do repairing the many knackered becm's.:D;)

Hiya John....Are you sittin in the local boozer using the free Wi-Fi??:beer2:
Last I heard..I think it was from yourself, was that (I think) his Mother was ill and he had travelled down country.
I am not "JC" by any means but I would like to have the chance to resolve any possible problems with work that I do.
