well picked her up Sunday and and all is good except a few minor problems which are almost sorted
Problems
NSR windows doesnt work
Sunroof doesnt work (can hear motor)
Pre heater not working
Pond in boot
back box

anyhow i get her home and started working on her Monday

rip the carpet out to put on the radiator and look for the leak drained 3 ltr of water from the boot by drilling a 3mm hole in the bottem of the pond lol

then had a little look about on the outside looking for possible signs and found the black trim that runs along the top of the back window wasnt clipped in on the middle clip so give it a sharpe bang with the hand

tested with loads of water and upto now i can not find the leak so im hoping it was as simple as that

the nsr window had been lkifted back up and held in place not to work as my sons car seat is in that corner so i will not be in a rush to fix it now as he hates the window open

the sun roof doesnt leak from what i can tell from tests and i dnt like them so i wont be fixing this either as the car has aircon.

the pre heater i looked at today and found pulling the fuse out for 1 mins resets it so i tried this and it worked so thats working now

the back box needs to be replaced previous owners even gave me a back box he had already bought so thats going to cost me 1 new clamp so bonus

had the mobile tyre guy come outtoday to swap my INF200 tyres on to the TD4 rims and the marshals on them to my older wheels
a few pics of the new car im impressed so far :)

I cant moan for the price I paid lol and I got it cheap all because of a good honest man and he took my offer then when offered more he told them he sold subject collection and he stuck to his word....

well after spending most of the afternoon trying to stop the water leak going into the boot

im still not sure if its works i took the tailgate door card off and used a dog food bag like i did on the L series job done tested still leaking into boot

so got the Mrs to throw water all over the boot to find a tiny little dripping
the water seams to be running in off the seal on the tailgate window and running down the inside of the tailgate seal ( the big one round the whole boot door)

and it was a tiny little section after a good hour of trying to fix it i then priced up a new seal and at £135 i said f**k no lol so went to mess a little more and in the end i have put a bit of tigar seal on the seal itself to just give it that mill of extra thickness closed the door when tacky and found no leak for now

this is just temporary until i can find a seal that's not £135 as i think that's just a joke

saying that if my temporary fix works there's nothing stopping me making it a permanent one

matt, regarding the water in the boot, if you take a look at the door seal and where it joins at the bottom, cut a few mill off so there is a slight gap , as the water tends to run down the seal and into the boot rather than outside , if you make a slight gap it will drain outside

it worked on mine

just look at the door seal and you will see what im on about, dont have time to sort pics out at the moment, where the ends of the seal meet make sure there is a slight gap and the water will drain outside
