Central locking help

Hi
Ive not long fitted a central locking motor to my 05 freelander td4 drivers door.

All was working fine until yesterday and it now just locks but doesnt lock.

The lock/unlock button inside car had also stopped working.
clicking buttons on remote in for 5 seconds and switch started working again but door still wont unlock ..

Is there a way to reset central locking just before i fork out for a new new motor?

If the door lock don’t unlock you need to change it.

If you put a preowned one, it has certaintly fail like the previous one.

Can you open the door ? If not you are good to remove the trim with a closed door.
