P38A LR Key Supply Issues

Thanks very much guys, I followed your advice and used a little graphite powder which worked a treat. Though this was not before I managed to slice my finger open with the new key (I guess thats why they call it a key "blade").

Next problem on the list is the RF receiver. I'm struggling to get the car to lock and unlock from much more than a metre or two away from the filler cap. Had a little look at the receiver this evening and it would appear that Wes is fitted with the "interim" receiver. So whilst I don't have the battery drain issues of so many others, I think it's maybe not in good health.

I hear that Land Rover are charging about £150 for the newest RF receiver? Which seems a bit steep for such a tiny little box...

Cheers again!

Sandy

Look up BrianDSE's 2 fob switch trick.

As someone who works in the dealer network, as far as im aware theres no current issue with ASR1940,

Although I admit its been a few months since i have had a customer ask for one,

However there was a case last year where the programmer for the keys broke and the only other was is in the states,

That led to a 2-3 week wait depending on how far the name was down on the back order list,

Something similar may of happened again this year,
