HI,
I realise its pretty impossible to diagnose faults from a bit part description but here goes.
Over the last few week I have had some extensive work carried out on my early HSE.
I suffered from turbo failure which resulted in some nasty noises heading from my engine, loads of smoke etc etc.
I have since had the turbo rebuild as well as having the engine rebuild. Picked it up a couple of weeks ago and was warned that I may suffer from smoke from time to time while the old engine oil burns off, they were not wrong!
However having suffered turbo failure on another car the smoke imo was exsessive. With this in mind I changed the crankcase breather for the newer version and at the same time removed, cleaned blocked off and re fitted the egr.
These cured the occasional smoke issue instantly and using the car every day all was well.
However 2 nights ago on my way home from work I noticed a new noise as I put my foot down (under load), its really hard to explain but its a bit like the sound of a jet engine but at he same time the general feel of the car feels better not worse, its much more responsive and just feels like it has more poke (more than ever before) but the noise is a worry having just spent so much on it.

Ive searched around and am hoping its a hose, but I dont have access to a pit so are the hoses I need to check (which I assume all stem from the turbo) easily accessable and would I attack from the top or underneath?

I do have it booked into a garage in just over a weeks time but any pointers would be appriciate on either the hoses or opinions on what it could be.

Check induction hoses and pipe work, and also the viscous fan unit for correct operation....

Hi, Thanks for the reply, may sound a stupid question to ask but are the induction hoses the ones going straight onto the turbo?
Also, when I take a look at the turbo is it better to get to from the above once the plastic engine trims are removed or from crawling underneath?
Ive just gone outside at lunch tried to have a poke around to see if theres anything obvious but nothing is jumping out at me.
