you can do it yourself
I'm not sure I have the skills for that. Especially with something as critical and fragile as gears.

Have a look at the workshop manual then decide.
Chassis is essentially ordered, just got to wait for the money to clear
Would people recommend reusing the current loom? I am trying to save a bit of money.
Edit: Ok, looms are hundreds of £, it will have the old one cleaned up and put back in!
if the loom is in good condition then yes defo
The one in mine has that many connectors cut into it (not by me) I have no choice to replace it,
Ok, update on progress.
Paint for the chassis is ordered, as is 2.5l of satin black rustoleum.
That should do for now, might actually be able to crack on with some stuff soon...
Edit: I went for semi-gloss black enamel paint, no idea what it will end up like, but I thought it would be hard wearing.
Give them all a blast with wd40 now
Thanks, yep I have been underneath with plusgas yesterday.
Not going to lie, I am a little apprehensive about this, but hopefully it will go fine.
Not a hard job mate, You'll be fine.
And if you do get stuck you know theirs plenty of help on here.
Yeah, thanks.
So I got the bolts as being:
crossmember bolts
outrigger bolts
under bulkhead bolts
Are there any more that I am missing?
There's some at the back of the seatbox in the middle - take a look. I'm not sure also if the two bolts at the side of the seats near the door need undoing too - i undid them to remove the tub, can't remember if they just joined tub and seatbox or if there was a bit of chassis in the middle of them
Edit: Pretty sure they do involve chassis - look at the round outriggers
