Hi All Got a problem with the Air suspension :( on my 51 plate V8ES Auto and really would like to try and sort it my self before having to take her to the stealers. Here goes, bottomed the towbar whilst taking some rubble to dumpit site(very steep entrance) as a check I tried raising the suspension but nothing happened, pressed switch again and it seemed to cycle through and light went out as it should no fault indication. Went around the whole system and seemed fine pump actually looks like brand new straight out of the box !. Checked under dash fuses in order, checked fuses under bonnet all in order, except however the 30amp linked fuse(double female type) had blown. Obtained one from stealers (£3.45 + Vat). Replaced fuse yippee :) everything works she raises up, she lowers down. Good you might say, ah well, no fault lights showing, the systems stopped working again  All fuses inc the linked fuse checked all in order system cycles through correct operation of lights on dash no fault indication but just doesn't do owt. Really need to get it working again as I'm puttin a new kitchen in for her indoors which will involve more trips full of rubbish to dumpit site. Help !!

Without doubt the vast majority of air suspension problems are caused by leaking air bags.

New ones can be bought for £63+vat, so that's where I would be headed if I were you. Either the bags will be the problem or the ride-height sensors - and they are cheap too !!

Had similar problem with my suspension. turned out to be a weak compressor, The pressure the pump was pushing out was equal to the pressure in the air bags, so would only go up to roughly the normal ride height and no further. because raising it any more required more p.s.i . from the compressor. fitted new compressor problem solved.
Hope this helps

Davec, yep all doors shut, could it be the relay thats faulty as I'm not sure about the ride height sensors coz I think theres one on each side and she's not listing to port or starboard, I just don't think theres any power getting to the compressor. If no-ones got any more info does anyone know where theres a good independant near barnsley I can take her to to plug her into the test book coz I really don't want to pay stealers prices. Cheers Sheriff
