Disco 2 Headlights Bolt heads snapped

A nice little surprise for me when I went for my latest venture under the bonnet. The bolts for the Headlights Bolt heads snapped off (see picture).

Anyone know how best to get them out and also what size bolts I need to replace them?

6mm iirc you can drill them then use a stud extractor ,weld a nut over the stud poking out

I thought the crosshead screws held the headlight in place.

They rust into the inserts and the inserts then rotate, easier to remove the mounting bolts.

I did the same but fortunately only broke one bolt. I took my headlight out using the cross head screws and then drilled the broken bolt out and simply used a long bolt, large washer and locking nut to hold the plastic mounting plate in place. It was a bit of a pain but It did it on my drive with a limited tool kit. Has been fine for the last 10 years.

that might have to be my new approach, my drill died the other day unfortunately
