Hi guys, about 10 months ago my Range Rover Evoque broke down and had what sounded to me like an internal knock. Long story short. after messing with it for a while I came to the conclusion it was going to be my big end. So i parked it up with the intention of looking further when I had time. Well I now have time so I removed the sump to investigate and expected to find shell bearings broke up. But there was nothing obvious so I may be wrong. started to remove oil pump etc to get at my big ends. Only problem is for the life of me I can’t get it out. Got the actual oil pump out but can’t get remainder out. I think if I remove the pipe pictured I may have room to wiggle it out. Does anyone know how to get this off. Is it just a press fit or is it screwed in. I’ve tried both and it will not budge. And I don’t want to break it. Cheers

I'd be careful you don't end up with a face full of parts. I would hazard a guess that lower casing holds things in that shouldn't come out without the engine being upside down on a stand😬
