Drove disco to my parents yesterday did not lock the car, jumped in to go home and it wouldn't start, ive got ignition fuel pump runs, but no starter, i tried to lock and unlock it withthe remote and nothing, used the eka code and it starts but when you stop the engine it l immobiliser cùts back in, took roof linning out to get to reciver and ive got no power at the plug tracked wire to ecu and ive got no power coming out the ecu, does that mean the ecu is faulty, thanks phil

when you say ECU do you mean BCU?... and confirm you dont have feed on the purple/grey wire from C0661 pin 5 of BCU?, did you measure across that wire and body?, if yes the BCU is fubar'd

then unfortunately it seems that the power source for the receiver in the BCU is gone, get a 12V DC regulated power supply and give feed to the receiver and try so(cut the wire to not backfeed the BCU)... if it works then that's it, you may try with battery feed too but afaik that feed for the receiver is well regulated by the BCU so if you connect it directly to some live it might ruin the receiver when the alternator kicks in

Sorted now, found a coupl of wires rubbed through on dash frame by the ecu,s repaired them and it gave me power to reciver, fitted new reciver and it works, now for the other jobs, injector harness, sunroof leaks, poor running

dont tell me that the BCU missed some feed or other input and the ONLY problem was the voltage output to receiver... it wouldnt have had accepted the EKA then and should have made other tricks too IMO... what colour wire was that?

Not sure on wire colours there were 3 rubbed thought after sorting them the voltage came on the reciver wire, so i went and got a new reciver and it worked, at the same time i did take the bcu to bits to see if i could see a dry joint or something but it all looked ok
