No different to glancing at the instruments if you know what your looking for.
Yes, it warns you a "nano" second before impact, clever bit of kit

It prevents the Nanocom smashing into the dash as it slides off the passenger seat. Cheaper to replace the headlamps and grill

Anyway the chances of hitting anything are slim the p38 doesnt move that often usually on the bump stops somewhere:

Where as in the Diesel, the Nano would have gone in to stand-by mode, not realizing that the 10 minute delay between pressing the accelerator and forward motion being achieved really is quite normal
