Hi all, i have a freelander 2 hse, when i open the car with the central locking key fob with the 2 presses the rear tailgate does not unlock but it does when i press the tailgate button on the key fob, any ideas ? please.

Do you mean the door actuator switch in the handle isn't releasing the door?

Yes, all the other doors unlock, but the tailgate i have to press the tailgate button on the key

That points to the tail door switch being at fault, which is a pretty common problem IIRC.
