Arnott gen2 air springs.

Doing the air springs next and thinking about putting the Arnott gen2 on, seen them for 395 for a set of four, anybody got them on and do they ride and wear better and are they worth it? Thanks

Only benefit of the Gen II's over OEM is the supposed lifetime warranty....

Fit OEM, save a few quid, you will probably not notice the difference!

Whereas, Gen III's are for the more serious off roader!

They're not worth the extra 170 quid over Dunlop oem ones, save the the extra for beer or fuel tokens...

Thought the gen II had 2 years warranty now, not to bothered about the price just wanted good quality air springs that will last and give a nice smooth ride, not looking at the genIII as don't off road that much only when go see the wife family in the middle of no wear on a farm in Scotland.

I can't see the point in wasting tokens on supposedly trying to upgrading a system that works perfectly if its well maintained with oem parts.

Your better of spending the saved tokens on a new set of shock absorbers...if the old ones are of an unknown age/quality.

Of course the pub maybe be calling more...

I agree that in 1995 the air springs were great and still are today, just thought that Arnott would have made Inprovements over the OEM springs of 95, put new shocks on not long back so just wanted a good set of air springs now as mine are 14 years old with 90k on then so need doing before it gets cold and the rubber gets hard and could leak or go bang.

gen 111 are worth having as they get softer as height increases and harder as height lowers..

but gen 11 are not worth extra cash..maybe in the states where they are proberly cheaper than oe, but not here

Not gona pay genIII price and have put new shock on so not gona change them for longer ones, did think the genII would be better than the OE but nobody seems to rate them as yet so think will go Dunlop to play it safe.

gen 11 really super.
but I got mine with lifetime
now only two years.

so

go for oem with cash in pocket would be my advice..

The lifetime warranty on the Arnotts turned out to be in the USA only. I've got them and can't honestly tell enough difference to merit the cost. If there's a next time I'll be fitting Dunlops and new Boge shocks together.

Great stuff, I put new shocks on all round last month so will plonk for dunlops then if cant tell the difference. Thanks Gents
