Hi All
I`m hoping someone can help me here pleeease....
I have a range rover L322 4.4 vogue (2003) both front air bags went pop so I got them replaced with the ones they sell on ebay made by Dunlop and cost £220 each compered to £800 f(made by Delphi)rom LR main dealer, since having the new bags fitted the rear suspension now wont rise more than 20-40mm basically on its bumpstops and the front is a lot higher but not as high as before,
The reservoir pressure is 9.2 bar ? don't know if that's ok.
I cant hear any leaks or hissing at all.
When I rise the suspension (high setting)it goes up at the front fine but the rear will only go about 100mm in total looking like its way overloaded at the back, and of course when I reach 30mph it lowers automatically.

The rear of the L322 does sit lower than the Front by design....

Grab a tape measure and check against this:

And report back.....

park it somewhere flat and use saints guide to check your ride heights then get it on some diagnostics and try a recalibration of the ride height. as it may be your fronts sitting higher than before, due to your new front bags, rather than your rear being lower ,if you know what i mean .

Hi Saint v8
Thanks for your speedy reply.
the measurements are....
STANDARD front 670mm / rear 630mm
OFF ROAD front 730mm / rear 670mm
ACCESS didn't seem to go all the way down as the light inside kept flashing on access and light on permanent for ride height even tho I was moving backwards & forwards to make suspension drop.
Couldn`t test motorway height as I presume this only drops to that heigh at a certain speed.
Hope this helps.....
reservoir pressure is 9.2 ???

Motorway height is only selected by the ECU....

Sounds like your EAS is due a calibration...the height difference between standard and extended is consistent which leads me to think it is in desperate need of calibration.

Put your location in your profile as they could be someone local with the gear to help out...failing that an LR delaer will charge you around £75-100 or so for a recal...an Indy a bit less...

Having your own Diagnostics when owning a Range Rover is a definite must have...it will save you a fortune!

Hi Birchy71
Thanks for your reply
I have had it on the diag machine (snap on solus)
when it came to putting the heights back in we found that the front would move up & down at the height we wanted and entered on the machine but the rear end just wont rise ???? clueless as to why thinking about a blocked valve or maybe height sensor.
reservoir pressure 9.2 bar ?? don't know if that's ok.....
Please anyone feel free to join in on the discussion.

Hi Saint v8
REF: sensor being disturbed during installation
The fronts were replaced but the rear end is not rising could that still be possible ?

Hi Saint v8
thanks again for your speedy reply.
£75-£100 isn't that bad think I might just go down that road, as for posting my location I`m in sunny spain now near Alicante so don't think there will be anyone local, well not that's reading this threat anyway.
but thank you very much for your help,
watch this space to find out result, I`ll keep u all posted...
