3 door side panel removal

Hi Guys! I am trying to remove the rear side panel of my 300tdi. mine dose not have glass, just blank fiberglass. I have removed all the bolts but I am not sure about the spot welds that run up the side of the driver door post. I presume they must come out but would like to hear from somebody who has done this before. I don't want to go drilling if I don't need to.
