Ok, so the last few nights I have finished work at 6, got into the landy and started her up, put the lights on and the full beam light on the dash is on, but very dim. Got in it tonight, started up and the full beam light was on full whack. The light stalk was at normal setting. Banged the dashboard a few times :mil68:, but it stayed on. If I put the stalk into fullbeam mode the lights go to sidelights, but when I am driving with the stalk in normal position one of the headlights is in fullbeam mode (I think). And I also cant flash anybody unless the lights are on sidelights. Now I do have one bulb out of which must have blown today - if it has blown at all!. Could this be causing the issues?

I believe when a bulb blows the full beam light on the dash is illuminated dimly to let you know, well it always seems to happen to me, also when one bulb goes mine always seems to then have the other bulb brighter than normal, probably something to do with voltage or something.

Never had them go to sidelights when I pull the stalk back though, could just be some crazy coincidence that both high beams and one low beam has gone? Unlikely though.

There are loom connectors on the passenger side of the engine bay, on the bulkhead. Disconnect them and reconnect them a couple of times, maybe even spray some WD40 in there to displace the moisture. I had a similar issue with headlights on mine and it was only poor connections in these connectors that was the issue.
