    if you get one from paddocks just watch that it's the right way round coz when i changed mine the inlet became the outlet and the engine would only run on tick over. swapped the pipes the wrong way round and it ran fine

    UPDATE# had a look monday morning an the engine was empty of water, filled it up and bled the system and all seemed ok. was told by a mate who's a mechanic that the k series engine will do this then will be ok for about a month, but then will dump the water again, and will do it more and more...

    sounds just like when mine bust it's clutch fork. gear box out i'm affraid but i've heard you can get a TD5 upgrade for the 300tdi, i'm sure paddocks stock them but not sure if there any good?

    so that would explain why the R reg box was beefier than the N reg box when we opened them up;) so the later box is better?

    well after many hours fooking about, stripping parts off to find a faulty one we finally realised today that the main spline into the transfer box had been completely stripped of it's splines, so we put the spare one i had from my old disco, and the box will go back in next week. hope it...

    i did say last week before we started taking the box out we should get the diff lock opperated using a screwdriver or anything that would turn it, but we just waded in and took the box out:eek:
