    200tdi wiring

To fire the old dog up you need to put a 12v supply to the diesel pump and that is how you stop it cut power to the pump (ignition)

Simple reversc switch for a 11A box

Noticed some people trying to sort out a reverse switch for their 2a landys. This switch is fairly simple when not in reverse the switch is normaly closed (live) when in reverse the switch is pushed closed which in turn opens the circuit (normaly open), so you need a five pin relay simular to...

head gasket ive never seen this before ..help??

Johnny just taken my landy out across the field for the first time and it smoked rather more than I expected,I think the smoke was a bit white though, but 3-4 times round the field and it is now clear and running fine with no or very little smoke, had me worried, though it is not finished yet...

head gasket ive never seen this before ..help??

Does it smoke worse after a long period (overnite) when you first start it up? If it does could be valve gides as oil seeping down through head; should smoke less after a minute as oil will be burnt. If no difference then maybe rule that one out.

head gasket ive never seen this before ..help??

Diesel problem is normaly black smoke, blue smoke is normaly oil, being burnt somehow valve gides, piston rings, maybe crankcase pressure; going up breather back through air intake.

Brakes really get on my nerves

Had a lot of trouble with my brakes and just sorted it. What was wrong was the rubber hose was old and it had internaly swollen so no fluid flowed properly, new hose and perfect. if your hoses have swollen inside then it would give the same effect, fluid finding the easy way which would make it...

    Valves/tubes question

Are the holes too small or too large for the valves? if too small easy drill them larger. Normally you don't need tubes with tubless tyres unless your rims are nacked, should say on the tyres if they are tubless.

    Another series(ous) stripdown

Little update, got engine running so drove out of the shed for a photo shoot, was a little tricky as have not done the brakes or handbrake yet and then the heavens opened up and gave it a wash. I have cut the insides of the wings in half and put in an angle iron to bolt things on so when I...

    Help with power steering

Ok thanks, I had it right; but the problem lies elsewhere. It seems what I am getting is high presure on the return hose and the joint that fits onto the steering box keeps leaking and steering not working. I'm not sure how the bottle works the return goes to the bottle I thought through it down...

Jonny, I'm no expert but I think you need to lenghten your stitch or so I was told when I did it, too closer stitching weakens the fabric.

    Help neede with diesel plumbing

Just been reading some threads on forum and on one it is saying you need a 12v supply to open the shut off solinoid, maybe that is my problem solinoids not connected and maybe stopping fuel getting to injectors, will try that tomorrow.
