Shuttle valves or shuttle valve switches? I think the fault codes tell the difference. I think the switches are available separately, costs about £25.

Sounds like the problem is that your jack isn't fitting, as evident by the fact you said it only goes half way in. My point was, that the line in can be a little quiet.

Oil wear indicator is an indicator of the state of degradation your oil is in. Its telling you, to get it serviced :) If it has been serviced, then they forgot to reset it :)

Latches are pretty common to be honest. Luckily they are easy to change.
