Hi all. Have a quick question ! I have an 2007 freelander 2. Could anyone tell me is the aux jack in the center console a standard size ?? It's just I've tried a few ones and none seem to fit properly. I know it's working because if you turn radio up full their is music coming through ie of iPhone. Any help would be great wife is doing my head in because all her music is on iPhone.

Standard jack.

Sounds like its not all the way pushed it on you have a loose connection though.


I do find the line in audio on the FL2 to be kinda quiet though. Try turning up the output volume of the device as well as the incar stereo audio.

That's the problem the jack is only going in half way and looks quite loose. If I turn the volume up all the way on radio and I phone ? You shouldn't have to do that surely ??

Sounds like the problem is that your jack isn't fitting, as evident by the fact you said it only goes half way in.


My point was, that the line in can be a little quiet.

There's a menu item for Aux on the head unit. One of the entries of for input volume.

Hi Martin,

Did you ever get this issue figured out? I have a 2008 LR2 with the exact same problem. The owner's manual states that the jack is the standard 3.5 mm, and that's the size I'm using, but it's like throwing a hot dog down a hallway.
