    fair enough, i just thought that if i wired an earth it'd save me having to scrape paint off things and rust proof them after, and if it were to be wired in one colour i'd tag the cables :D

    tri-rated? i was going to have 3 wires running up so that 1 would be for one set of lights and one would be for the other then i'd use the 3rd as an earth so i wouldnt have any earthing problems

    :confused: so i shouldnt use them on the landy? i take it that the exhaust mani and the chassis are mild steel? if i used them to mount the front bumper would hammerite act as a barrier? the only reason i'm using stainless is that the landy place round here wants 1.45 per nut for the mani and...

    i was going to get some nuts and bolts to re attach the front bumper with and some flange nuts for the exhaust mani. if they just turn to white powder then that isn't a problem i just don't want the bumper mounts to rust like mad

    Can you use them on the disco? i've heard that alloy and steel don't go well together and a reaction in the 2 metals will cause alot of rust, is this the same with stainless steel?

    For the rear floor look on ebay :) you can get the crossmembers for £10 each and the size z sections but i can't remember how much and the boot floor is about £56 there

    from what i can see is if i slide it in from the top of engine bay the ARB gets in the way but if i do it from underneith the arb and the gearbox crossmember gets in the way, i'll try again in the morning

    I got underneith her today to get the down pipe off to replace with a stainless de-cat, i didn't have to unbolt anything but the exhaust which i'm quite happy about :) but when it came to fitting the decat it wasn't as easy :( the origional pipe has a bendy bit in which ment i could bend it to...

    ok i've found out that it is a m12 1.75 thread, anyone know where i can get one in this size?

    on the right side of the inlet mani there is a bolt that doesnt appear to do anything, anyone know where i can get an adaptor to fit in there? would save me drilling and tapping the mani.
