the e box according to rave is the box where the ecu and all that stuff is next to the fuse box under the bonnet :) mark

cheers for your reply mate ive driving it a good 30+ miles with out the maf connected and cant see no change. i know if you unplug the maf on a petrol engine when its running it would be apparent. am stumped with this one mark

ok guys so i have been refunded for my new maf off of ebay because there out of stock according to the seller but anyway after a good rummage today in the scrappy i got my hands on 2 maf's same part numbers etc. tried them both still no change at all no power under 2000rpm. i know its possible...

i would be leaning towards the cable and the selector mate have a look at this first and go from there. put into 2nd and get under it and have a fiddle about with the selector and see if u can get it to go into 1st a loto win would be good for me to mate then the freelander would be running...

could be the ird or the vcu bearings. what like is it on full lock in forward and reverse ? does it feel fine or does it feel like its dragging? mark

is this linkage not for a manual mate ? sure the autos are just a cable

angle grinder for the bottom bolt if it wont budge :)

ive also pondered with the idear of fitting a boost gauge to mines but have no idear on where to conect it to so i will be following this post :)

cheers for that mate the maf is dead i would say no change at all when connected or not. yes its a auto commercial i have with the seats in the back. will disconnect the battery to reset the autobox ecu mark

thats what i thought to mate so done a bit of digging and this maf fits alot of other cars to. so just under £115 sounds like a deal :)

ok so ive got a new maf on order should be here friday the question is when i fit the new map should i disconnect the battery so the ecu will learn with a new maf if yous know what i mean mark

wouldn't surprise me if it was the one in aberdeen

i can hear the turbo spooling up and a the noise that the turbo makes but just seems odd that its just a push fit. don't suppose it would hurt to stick a clamp round it just for piece of mind ? mark

i see what your getting at but it seems to loose a fit to seal ? if this was the case would this not allow un metered air into the engine mark

ok so i had the maf out today and noticed that the pipe from the maf to the turbo just slides on and off of the turbo should there not be a clamp round this ? mark

am more that 100% sure this is the gearbox fluid mate thats making it judder let us all know how the fluid change goes and the outcome of it mark
