ok so i had the maf out today and noticed that the pipe from the maf to the turbo just slides on and off of the turbo should there not be a clamp round this ?

is it because it has negative pressure rather than positive?

i see what your getting at but it seems to loose a fit to seal ? if this was the case would this not allow un metered air into the engine

if this comes off you will get a wooshing sound like other have had

i can hear the turbo spooling up and a the noise that the turbo makes but just seems odd that its just a push fit. don't suppose it would hurt to stick a clamp round it just for piece of mind ?

at least if you do put a clamp on you will know it will not come off

Mine doesn't have any clamps either. It stays put.
