    Won't turn off

OK, that's fuse 13. It feeds the stop lights. Do you have a multimeter? You need to check the earthing on the stop and tail lights. The earth is common to both lights, being a dual filament bulb. One of these earths must be dodgy (High resistance), allowing the battery voltage to feedback to the...

    Won't turn off

Just to be clear, is that fuse 5 in front of the gear lever or under the drivers seat?

    Two problems today

Re problem 2, presumably it is for a switch in that area, try connecting them together and see if you get a warning light on the instrument panel. From there you can work out the likely use of these wires.

My D2 Td5 with starting problem

Only need to calibrate them if you did not refit injectors to the cylinders where they came from. If you did mix and match, then ECU needs to be told.

    Headlight Fault

If the lights were on while you were pushing and pulling at connectors, could you have accidentally blown a fuse? Have you checked them, have you a multimeter?

    Won't turn off

Difficult to diagnose remotely but can try and help to localise to a possible area. Most likely a poor earth feeding back power to ignition supply. With the engine running and the ignition off ( ie fault condition on), try removing fuses F10 -F15, one at a time to see if engine stops. These...

    Won't turn off

Wiring fault! Not by design.. Are lights on side or main beam? Does it have to be a combination of side lights and brake lights, or can it be either?

    Help TD5 won't turn over

As James says, definitely check for a click when turning the key. If it just goes click, click and maybe sometimes turns over, the odds are the solenoid contacts. I have had trouble with these contacts on both TD5's I have owned.

    Defender TD5 or TDi?

Had a D2 TD5 as new in 99. Ran it for 10 years and 210k miles. Apart from air suspension, starter problems, it was a relatively flawless and pleasant experience. Upgraded to a D4 59 reg, for 2 years, Did 40k in that. Despite that wonderful piece of engineering and sophistication, I have gone...
