If its not pumping ( listen to it ) its not working. If your air spring are not inflated it is not wise to drive it..You will literally have no rear suspension. Sierrafery posted some advice a while back about this situation which basicly was pack rubber under it and crawl to a garage..I`m sure...

Tarantula.. Bear with me on this. If I do the speaker upgrade that is on this thread and change the head unit things will be better. The speakers I can do via internet, and the headunit will have to come the same way by the postal donkey. We have nothing like Halfords here... Stick your neck...

Excellent thread...but its got me thinking. What sort of sound should I get from the rear door. I have never been in the back of the Disco when the CD has been on. Took a couple of kids out the other afternoon and they complained the back door souned "funny ( 7 Seater and they were in the boot)...

This may sound strange, but I had the same problem last year with a Renault Kango. I changed everything I could think off...no change. Turned out it was the cat in the exaust breaking up. I took the pipe off, raked out the bits and it ran perfectly. Just an idea.

He just painted it on as he was fitting the tyre. Matter of seconds before he inflated it. So I guess it cured after it had sealed any gaps. Looked OK.. and worked.

This is a trick I picked up from a tyre fitter in the days when I was running about on ultra low profiles and always knocking the alloy rims. Before you refit the tyre run a brush of rubber adhesive ( black stuff like Evo Sick ) around the rim where it meets the tyre. Seals up any imperfections...

I read a thread a while ago on here where a guy had the same problem. He had put that tyre mend stuff you put into a punctured tyre into the air gag. Reckoned it worked OK. But you gotta buy the stuff and then take the bag off, get the stuff into it, refit and hope it works... Less hassel just...

There is no dash light for cruise control is there ? I thought the only light was a red one on the switch.

Sandmans right. The only cover that is ment to come off is the one that covers the locking wheel nut. Thats what the black plastic thing is for. Thats why the wheelbrace fits the nuts!

I would be interested to see its history...I have a mate over here who has an original Camel Discovery on a "J" plate, its the real deal with video of it in the jungle etc. It differs from that one as on the original the roof rack and the internal roll cage are one intergrated unit. Freaked out...
