Start with the simple things,not pressurizing can be simple as a duff expansion tank cap,take it from there,if it doesn't work check the water pump,tstat,hoses,then go further with the h/g and block,eventualy the block will crack and the liners will slip it is a matter of time,just save money...

Had the same symptoms for a year,replaced all the hoses heater matrix,radiator kept on doing it untill signs of a blown h\g appearerd,so i have replaced them skimmed the heads 3 days ago and it is still loosing coolant,my advice is forget about it till the leak gets serious then prepare yourself...

replaced the h/g skimmed the heads and new oil new plugs,let see how she drive,apparently it is fixed,fingers crossed,the liners didn't slipp,dunno about cracks in the block though,but one thing i am sure of "never say it is fixed before one month of driving",cheers. thank you for your help
