its raining, ive gotta change the oil seal on the front diff!! looks like the rear diff is coming off then, so dont think the whine is gearbox more likely diff related?! so annoying that noise travels, the other problem with all fours off the ground i cant get any of the noises to turn up...

its whining like a bitch atm, ive had a new gear box put in/ clutch and tranny input gear, ive had it back at the garage that did it all, and they think nothings wrong, im going to go to another place today for a second view, if i have a tooth missing on either front or rear diff would...

That might be an idea with someone in The back, I'm sure it's a diff problem

no, only got A/Ts on for road driving, 235/85/16s, dont rub never had, and ive had that issue with my bigger muds

Old owner put in polly bushes on the arms, there fine not cracked or spilt, rear shocks are 3/4 months old they shouldn't be gone but I will check that tomorrow, The noises has a pattern, almost like it's a certain point in a rotation of ther wheels, possible being the nearside wheel

Well from drivers point yea there's nothing in the back and it's a clear noise, fronts all fine no issue with bearings or anythings recently changed front off oil and that was all ok, can't find anything hanging about underthere either

Done a few searches and not come up with anything yet, While turning only right, tight rights like roundabouts etc I get a knocking/ banging from the back, I've checked both half shafts, rear prop, a frame ball joint, and had it in the local landy specialist on the ramp checking diff play...

what colour are the springs, could give it away if they are yellow or blue, even standard height heavy duties lift a lil as they are well heavy duty so they dont sag under the weight

yea ashcorfts is 1049 fitted, but luton!!! gumtree are around 1500 fitted, and thats there local supplier not ashcrofts, and thats a rebuild price I know what you mean about doing it twice, ill replace the clutch/ and input gear while its all out and i will prob go with a new box not mine rebuilt

i have no idea why its coming back out!!! i dont drive fast, i cant!!! but theres obvious leakage, over filling the tank maybe?? i swear its only just started though!! But i have realised im also under reading on the speedo and that will effect the milage read put wont it!!!

so the filler cap might as well be bucketing out diesel! any fixes for this or can i fit a newer cap/ entry pipe job lot to the tank!? im getting about 230/ 250 a tank in a 300tdi?? i dunno if this is good but i swear it used todo more!!!! cheers
