did the tc light come on when this happened?I would check you front pads for delamination as well

If it is coming from the timing cover (front of engine-metal cover behind crank pulley)-It is likely the drive end seal of the injection pump is leaking-if this is the case it could be leaking onto the cambelt,which will fail soon,if this is the case.This needs checking sooner rather than later...

No I dont I am afraid,I ordred new bolt and put loctite on it as well and did it up hammer tight. The old bolt had started to come undone-caught it in time thank god

I left my sump off for a hour or so to let the loctite set before putting oil back in

If turbo wasn't working it would smoke like hell from over fuelling or under airing if you prefer

If you do get it,drop sump and loctite the oil pump drive bolt for peace of mind-if it comes undone,bye bye engine

Biodiesel is miscible in derv in any proportion and once mixed will not seperate. As biodiesel has a higher cetane number than derv,it is probably other junk they are adding to supermarket fuel which is causing performance issues, and the bio is attempting to bring it right. I run my TD5 on 100%...

Yup I use those for autobox filling as well,with the EP oils,stand in bucket of hot water to thin a bit first - it helps

pump diesel varies in energy content throughout the year,in winter it contains more naptha fractions to avoid waxing and in summer heavier oils-mpg will be worst in winter and highest in summer.The mix is adjusted at the refinery ,so you have no choice but to buy a lower energy fuel in winter

My TD5 auto does have the HD TC from ashcrofts fitted.Around town(very heavy traffic-20 minutes to do 2 miles)I average about 100 miles for 25lts of fuel,but on a run at motorway speed limit I get at least 150 miles per 25 lts of fuel.If i backed off to 55-60 where she seems to almost do no work...
