    sticky beer is never good :D the repair of the alt is very well explained in the repair manual. You can actually try it yourself, you just need a new regulator propably. (propably RTC3966 ALTERNATOR REGULATOR | shop | www.lrseries.com | L. R. Series)

    yes it is, i check it every time i start her, as i do have two batteries connected (sometimes three) without anything, just parallel, so i have to make sure the alt is working. i have an ammeter, too, tho. If you turn the key to first position red and green must me lit! Sure! one more tip...

    you have to expect that not all bleeding nipples will come loose... then you're foooked

    if you change the hose you can bleed that brake only, but if you replace the hose to the axle you have to bleed both of them. supposing you bleed in the direction of the brake (top to bottom), not master cylinder (bottom to top).

    h=25mm, d=100mm means one metre of round aluminium is more than enoug for 20 pcs, thus 5 sets. one metre is about 40 quid, making 8quid per set for material, lets suggest about 10 quid for the mill and drill, and postage to blighty is 5-10? quid. is that 60? i thought not. plus, i can make...
