:) Not wanting to duplicate the original "Convoy" thread, Take a look at the 'just booked my place for convoy for heroes' thread, as I think the OP features a list, as members confirm their attendance intentions....

    Would you trust your Gaylander?

Most definately, and certainly more than a drafty old tratter!! :p Just for interests sake, as Freelanders and Series/Defenders have detrimental nicknames here on the forum, what are Disco's and Rangies also known as in the 'Detrimental Department'? Fair's fair!

    2 stroke oil in diesel

Trade card question.... I used to run a kitcar Owners Club. Told them I wanted to be able to recommend Halfords to our 'Mini-based' kit car owners, ... the Managers eyes lit up, ... filled out the form, ... walked away with a trade card. Greed and Avarice lives at Halfords!!! Simples!

Yeah, the irony of it? If I moved the 'SPA' she'd be four inches closer to the house in the morning... :bump2: :)

Driveway is at an angle of about 40 degrees, and although she passed her MOT okay, she groans and creaks even in gear! I don't want her making her own way into the lounge, so I employ that 'supplementry parking aid' ;)

:) Got the R.E.M.E. badge fitted on the grill at last.... Took me a while, but I fabricated my own fixing bracket, because the bolt supplied was about 10mm too short, and didn't hold it securely enough for my liking. :tea:

Lockable spare wheel cover with key

Yes, very similar. Except it is not a Land Rover branded product, and is a plain smooth finish to the insert cover. It would be a struggle to fit 16" wheels. My Freelander wears 17" Alloys and it only just could be adjusted small enough to be secure. (and that was using another wheelcover, but...

Lockable spare wheel cover with key

Sorry, I don't know. It came off a chap who had a Landcruiser, he told me it would fit my Freelander but it's too big. I'm sorry I don't know what a '162' is, or the make/brand of this cover. I can tell you, the diameter of the trim insert panel that sits accross the face of the tyre, and...

 Anyone else out there with connections to the REME, and are you going to Convoy for Heroes this year? (2012). Cheers, in anticipation. Mike

Lockable spare wheel cover with key

:) Series, Defenders, Discovery or Freelanders with 17" wheels or larger (Adjustable to fit most sizes bigger than 17" roadwheel.) It only has 1 key, but if you can collect it from B76 Sutton Coldfield, you can have it for £10.00 Has the finisher insert trim too. Drop me a PM if interested

Correct Haynes manual for td4 auto van 2005

They don't know any better......... but someone has to drive the Series Land Rovers I suppose. It might as well be them, means I don't !! :bounce: Actually, is there such a thing as a 'correct' Haynes manual? Have you seen some of the photo's they use?

    Kinda new

Yes. Keep the kids out of it, they'll only mess up the inside.... I've only got 1 Grandson, but the car always looks like it's twinned with Beriut when he's been in it! :bounce:

    New Freelander Owner

:) Welcome, and glad to hear you're enjoying your Freelander. I have a slightly older model, but with the exception of the auto-volume stereo (which I changed anyway) I agree with everything you've said. When full, my fuel gauge registers about 2-3mm over the top of the 'full' mark. I...

    Would you trust your Gaylander?

So it appears.... I am fairly sure that it is because, even with the reputation gained by K-series HGF failures, the Freelander is the most use-able daily transport made by Land Rover, upto the current crop (and only time will tell about the Evoque and Freelander 2) and this goes against...

    interior light gremlins

Yes, this was occuring to mine too. The sparky up the garage cleaned all the connections but told me that they had corroded and he couldn't be sure how long his 'repair' would last. Because of this he did it for free. It lasted a fortnight. He's now resoldered new connections for me, so...
