Hi,
Apologies in advance. But I'm dithering over which Haynes manual to buy.
My FL is an 05 td4 auto commercial.
Which manual is most suitable ? (I wondered if they did one specifically for the van model)

9781844256235 is the reference for a 53 to 56 FL.
Just wondered and I'm starting to regret even asking now, if this was the most apt.
Do you chaps take mean pills on this forum?

Hi vanman,

The number you quote is the ISBN number for my manual right enough.

It has 4623 on the number plate on the front cover, as Haynes usually does.

It makes no mention of the commercial versions - but I don't think there is anything different that would cause any problems.

The mechanical bits are exactly the same.

Don't mind the 'ruffty -tuffties' on here with their quick replies - they can and do give great answers when you're stuck.

Hi,

I agree they are not perfect and sometimes are frustrating, but I still wouldn't be without it.

It's more informative regards Freelanders than an Outer Hebrides Bus timetable though. :D

I have a slightly earlier commercial, but the haynes manual for the car version has always suited me fine.

there are no real differences apart from those that you can see (lack of windows, bulkhead). Someone did tell me once that the trim in the boot is different to give a slightly wider load area, but never proved it either way (or felt the need to).

Mine's even got speakers in the boot fitted.

They don't know any better......... but someone has to drive the Series Land Rovers I suppose. It might as well be them, means I don't !! :bounce:

Actually, is there such a thing as a 'correct' Haynes manual? Have you seen some of the photo's they use?

My father had a series 1 and a series 2 l/rover when we were growing up.

Did 40mph all the way from Kent to devon with a dirty great caravan on the back. Twice a year for 15 yrs.

Go anywhere vehicles. Long as you put a coupla coats on and ear defenders.

Nothing like lifting up a seat to fill up the diesel on a proper tratter...

:)
