Are all wheels braked?

Haha stuff like this is always happening to me. Does the wiper switch seem to be working with your circuit checker? When you took the dash off you must have wiggled something loose for the indicators. Open it back up and check all the connections are firmly attached.

My 1972 has no hazards, 3 blower settings (off, slow, fast) and 1 wiper speed. I always find it strange that the wiper swith is a twist one when there is only 1 speed, why didn't they just use the same switch as everything else?

How many miles do you do a year? I don't do that many so the economy (or lack of!) of my 2.25 petrol is fine for me. I am planning to take it to Europe next summer though, that's going to be a slow journey!

I've been using 20w50 from Halfords (comes in a cool tin!) but £13 from Asda is quite a bit cheaper, I'll have a look there next time.

I don't really know how election ignition works but doesn't it fit inside the distributor where the points etc. are now so they wouldn't still be there? I didn't notice anything in there that looked out of place, I'll have another look tomorrow.

I opened up the distributor today to check my points and had a very strange problem! When the points are at a lobe in the cam shaft (i.e should be open) they are not. When not at a lobe, the points don't even touch the camshaft! It's like the springy bit isn't working properly as it never moves...

I've bought quite a bit from them without problems. Got and order in at the moment actually, now you've got me worried about it!

I'm thinking of going to Europe with my 2 1/4 petrol next summer but really need to work out the mpg I'm getting. I was expecting 12mpg, not mid to high 20s! Also I'm not sure how I can work it out. I can't really fill the tank because then it leaks out...

Do you carry the trolley jack around with you for wheel changes? I might do that instead of my hi lift + axle stand.

Well I figure if it does fall then the wheel is still going to be on so it's won't crush me...

I've just been looking to get a bottle jack for wheel changes but I already have a hi-lift which came with the landy. Reckon I should just get an axle stand and carry that around with me instead of the bottle? Then if I get a flat use the hi-lift to get it up onto the axle stand (don't fancy...
