    Electric seats

Got some leccy seats from a rangie to put into my Disco. I saw a really good article on how to fit them once but can't find it again. Anybody seen anything like? Also, what's the best way to wire them up? (direct feed or loads of relays/new loom) Ta

Tinting the Windows on a Disco

I have some samples of the tints that are 'legal' for front side windows. The tint is so light that I doubt you would notice they were there apart from if they were put on badly or start to peel away.

    Power steering pump

As per Beast, still about £60 - £70 from somewhere like Paddocks, etc. Local parts suppliers wanted about £110 plus the old one back. Changed mine about 6 months ago, nice easy job. Just remember to check that everything is line when you put it back together or the fan belt may shred.

    "what have i done"

Warped hand brake drum? Mine was similar when I got it and I found that the drum was warped and the handbrake adjusted right up. Used to snatch when going slowly. Let the cable off a bit and it's fine for now but will need doing sometime. Of course it could be something completely different...

    Immobiliser Help !

Hello again. On my 300TDi, there is a receiver around the ignition barrel once you take the cowling off. The fob needs to be close to this to deactivate the immobilisor. I think (don't know for sure) that the fob has a chip in it that is read by the ring around the ignition barrel. So it...

    Immobiliser Help !

The immobilsor should work by radio signal (I think). There is a transmitter in the key fob and a receiver around the ignition barrel. So the problem is that sometimes a signal is either not sent or not received. Do both fobs work the central locking ok? If so, then the fob battery should be...

    Intermitent starting problems

As yours is a 95, not sure if this helps. The Definitive Alarm Spider Post - LR4x4 - The Land Rover Forum Your symptoms sound similar to mine and I used this to sort it after being stranded for a short while but once to often. Simple enough job to do.

    changing lift pump

Hi, the guys on here would prefer to know what model/engine you have before offering advice. I'm relatively new to diesel too but this is what I think. The lift pump is similar to a 'standard' fuel pump. When you change it, you will need to bleed the system. Get a haynes manual or the like...

    Problem starting up disco!!

Sounds daft I know but did they reconnect the lamda sensors? Also, are they sure that the part of the exhaust they replaced isn't blocked? If the cat was rattling, did it come away complete? I replaced the cat on a non-running vectra and found that it had destroyed itself and blocked the...

Need help sorting niggles on Disco 300TDI

Thought I'd add my tuppence! I had an engine squeak so assumed it was the tensioner. Replaced the bearing and the squeak changed. Turned out it was my power steering pump on it's way out. The squeak certainly sounded like it was coming from the top pulley though so may be worth checking...

Signwriters use a couple of drops of washing up liquid in water sprayed onto the glass (after it's thoroughly cleaned). Then you can adjust and squeeze out any bubbles.

    LZ relay team...

Can't find a reference to any minimum speed on M-ways but seem to remember from the old, old highway code that there is a minimum size engine for bikes (125cc) and a minimum capability to do a certain speed (think it was 50mph). But as stated before, wagons are restricted to 56mph so 53mph...
