    Agh - EAS complete failure

Todays update. I've been feeling sorry for myself with a broken RR and a sore tooth. Today, I talked to my local garage about getting the car ready for it's MoT and looking at this EAS issue. When I went to the car, it was on it's bumpstops again. This time however, the battery was completely...

    Agh - EAS complete failure

Thanks Wammers. Since the compressor is less than a month old, I'd say that there should be enough pressure in the tank. Is there any way of monitoring that? If it's a communications issue, how do problems occur? Either the sensors or the ecu must be buggered. Or both?

    Agh - EAS complete failure

I made sure I was seeing 'good idle' on the screen between clearing and re-reading. Is this a communication problem or a knackered drivers module? I'm convinced the hardware is ok: the bags, (rear) pipes and compressor have all been replaced recently. The car was cheap enough to let me spend...

So, the codes were as follows (first at top, newest at bottom): 2 : FR signal incorrect 2 : Pressure signal constantly high 3 : Pressure signal constantly low 7 : Vehicle has moved 2 : FR signal incorrect 2 : FR signal incorrect 2 : FR signal incorrect 2 : FR signal incorrect...

    Agh - EAS complete failure

Took the old girl up to a meeting in Colchester today. Happily trundled up, no problem. On the way home however.... The EAS light came on and a few miles later the car dropped to it's bumpstops. At 70. Very bouncy, very slow ride to the next junction where I waited for the AA. After an hour...

that's useful to know, thanks. Mine does all sorts of funny things when I park it on a speed bump. This explains a lot. and to the OP, pics please. Don't really want to see another landy tho ;)

Urgent Help - Car is sitting outside needing quick fix!! Please Read!!

I was sceptical about Halfords batteries, but after replacing Bosch batteries every two years (due to lack of use), my father bought a Halfords with lifetime guarantee and it's been 6 years so far with no problems. Not a Halfords fan, but in this case it worked out well.

    Year of the CAT.

good plan. I have no idea if the system still has it's cats - concentrating on the basics for now like 'will it unlock, will it start, will it stop', but it stinks on petrol.

    Year of the CAT.

that's good news. MoT is due well before April. If they've been removed, I'll have some empty boxes made up. I guess if the log is leaking, it would smell. When you take the filler nozzle off, it stinks.

    Year of the CAT.

mine's due an mot next week. I'd better look underneath. Does this apply to all vehicles? Motorcycles and cars? If so, I'm a little f'ked.

    Broken Remote Keyfob

This is interesting - I only have one fob for the old RR and need to get another. Presumably, if I set the seat memory to wildly different settings, then unlocked the car using my fob, the seat would return to position 1 or 2 and I would be able to determine which fob I had. So, if I have fob...

    p38 battery drain

yes, that's the latest part number. You can check that this is the problem by disconnecting the antenna (blue wire) as a temporary fix. Although I was told that the older designs can cause other problems apart from battery drain, so best to replace anyway.

    p38 battery drain

I just changed mine. Actually, my 15 year-old son did it for me. I got mine here - £155 instead of over £200 from my local dealer. Inside the boot, remove the plastic trim/cover next to the parcel shelf. There are some plastic plugs that lever out with a blunt knife and a screw at the front...

Management of Motorised Vehicle Use in the Countryside

done. Not likely to get very muddy up there, but there are a lot of people who like that sort of thing, and I support them if that's their thing. Sounds wrong for some reason...

What have you done to your Landie today.

cleared some random EAS faults while number 1 son replaced the RF receiver for the excellent new blingy model. Then I hared a bottle of champagne with the Mrs. Bliss.
