Guys this seems bad, i get 260miles of £50 of gas and she is the 4.6 Vogue,
When i purchased her she already had gas installed but i was only getting about 180 miles on lpg. I put her in for an LPG service at Flintshire Autogas and they found a leak on the reducer and recommended i get i replaced which i did and hey presto i now get 260. Apparently i will get a bit more once i've done a thousand mile (next week) and it goes back in to get balanced. Oh and i've also purchased some LPG spark plugs (Brisk) which i'll fit prior to the balance and get them to lean out the LPG \ Air mix so i'm hoping maybe around 300 on the tank.

how much are you paying for gas ?, we need to know that to work out the mpg . my p38 does the school run and other short trips and returns 12 mpg - on a run i haver never had more than 18 mpg . take no notice of the onboard computer it cannot work it out when running on gas
it must be remembered you have to put more gas in to the engine to get the same power as on petrol
also you dont want to be running lean or you will stuff the engine

£30 divided by 0.65 per ltr =46.15 ltrs divided by 4.55 =10.14 gallons
100 miles divided by 10.14 = 9.86 mpg
maybe you are running a little rich or heavy right foot , do you do short trips ?

I get about 12mpg on gas towing a small caravan, and about 16mpg on a run with out. But its an old single point system. 4.6 gems engine.Computer on dash says 21mpg !! No way is that right!!

I drive it like miss daisy and have a mix of short and long runs and the fuel stays the same.
I don't want to nack the engine.

Are you sticking £30.00 in because you've run out of gas or because the gauge is low. If the latter you could have quite a bit of gas left. LPG gauges are vauge to say the least. For example my LPG Classic with long range tanks (130 litres useable) has 4 green lights and 1 red. As a rule I go down to 3 green after 50/70 miles, down to red after 80/110 miles and won't run out of gas until I've covered 290/400 miles depending on whether its town or motorway driving.
The only way to test mpg is to brim the tank, zero the clock and then brim the tank again. Divide miles covered by gallons used.

I am getting roughly 13.5MPG and that is what the computer says and also what I work it out as, no matter now I try it usually stays around that mark (circa 240 miles to £54ish @ 69.9p ltr).
I think this could be better, but when I take into account I have a grinding front diff, a rear which is also awaiting a replacement and she needs new plugs... I cannot complain (I have a definate miss-fire on gas on the D/S bank).
Have your injectors checked out (if SGI) as mine did 150 to £50 after the first fill up and new injectors fixed that (only £35 a bank too )

I can just about squeeze 200 miles from a 100 litre tank of LPG (fills to approx 80 litres, @ 70.9p /litre = approx £55 to fill it up). This works out at 12-14 mpg, but in terms of cost it equates to an equivalent 22-25 mpg if I were to pay for petrol, if that makes sense.
Mine has been tuned to run on LPG so is a bit rough on petrol but nice and smooth on LPG, but I still run it on petrol now and then to keep everything lubricated - they run very dry on LPG, not good for seals, etc!
