    Double pressing brake pedal

Ahem I adjusted mine..... Brake pedal was sooper, brakes so good.... Left for work...... And ground to a halt 5 miles away with smoking brakes, I had adjusted em a wee bit too much, so that the fluid did not 'flow' back, had to do a hasty adjustment, seem OK now and brakes still...

    Master cylinder rod adjustment

The brakes on my S3 are to put it mildly, crap. New shoes/springs/drums/cylinders, bled through with all new fluid, and still they are crap... So, I played with the adjustment on the master cylinder rod, now they are bloody good, BUT seem to stick a bit, will a bit of fine tuning cure this...

The answer to all my problems?

Low compression means less power... Could be bad valve seating, or worn rings... But my 2.5 N/A is crap on hills as well, so you aint alone..

    Diff Lock Warning Light

I dunno about Landy Diff locks.... BUT. When we have to engage the Diffs and cross locks on the trucks when on sites etc, when we want to turn em off we have flick switch off, light will stay on, then reverse for a metre or two, this will disengage the locks and dash lights will go out...

    Problems on over run..

What would be causing the smoke? unburnt diesel as in timing... The 'normal' smoke is a black colour almost like soot, only when she is pulling hard (Well as hard as a Landy can pull anyway)

    Problems on over run..

Guess so..... I did not mention it was a diesel did I... Could it be anything to with the fact the vacumn pipe to the servo has been blocked off as my series aint servo assisted, just a thought. I have a gut feeling this is going to turn in a engine prob though...

    Problems on over run..

Fitted that 2.5 NA (Sherpa one) to my series 3, seem to have the timing sorted now, she runs well, cruises at 50, still gutless on hills etc, starts fine, ticks over sweet, bit of black smoke when she is pulling, nothing drastic. BUT.... Go downhill on an over run, say at 55 - 60...

    Air Powered Needle Scalers

We use em sometimes at work, good little tools, though we use em for chipping old concrete from the trucks, rather than metal cleaning....Bought em from Clarkes, had em 2 years now, never been any probs with them..

    Painting Her White

Roller brushed mine with Dulux gloss, went on a treat....(Now Blue by the way) Quick, cheap, and i really dont give a s**t if it gets scatched etc.. Looks a lot better than the white masonry (Rough not the smooth one) paint that it was done in by the guy I bought it off....

2.5 N/A Still showing as overheating???

OK, changed the sender for the OE S3 one, was better, now takes twice as long to go up into the red ???? Also sorted the timing as best I can. BUT it is still going up into the red, this is at speed, pottering along arond town and side roads stays normal, D/Cways at 50 + and up it goes, esp on...
