Hi all, I have a 2.5 TD engine which has dropped a valve seat and I am needing rid of it. I have tried to sell it whole, I have tried selling all the bits seperatly but now I am just giving it away. It seems to have all the ancillieries apart form the starter and turbo. All the pumps are in good condition according to the mechanic that changed engines. So if you want spares for a similar engine and you can pick this one up it is yours. If you would like to make a small donation to the "Wife appeasment fun" I would be very grateful but I really just want rid of it.Thanks

I'd have it, the engine, not the spare fred, But I'm stuffed if I'm coming to Scottishland for it. Why not bung it on Ebay and see what you get?
 
I have tried that several times Grunt. I tried it as a job lot then tried to sell the bits seperatley then tried to sell it as a job lot several more time but nobody wanted it. I even tried selling in the papers and on here but nobody seems interested in it.
 
Who is floppie?? If they want to do that I am fine with that I really just need it out the way before my wife decks me!!!!

Sorry to bring this up again but would anyone like any of the parts that are already off the engine. The radiator appears to be in good condition, the altinator, the fan cowl thing and all the pipes. Again they are going for free as I just need to get them out my shed before the wife kills me.
 
Is the turbo any good? - mate has a TD but has been running round for 2K in D mode as his has bitten the dust and he hasnt got enough beans to buy a worker - did that make any sense?
 
When I say I think its ****ed I am only saying that as the mechanic that was swapping my engine said I should try and get the turbo with it. I assumed it was ****ed but thinking about it does the turbo from 2.5 td fit a 200tdi. anyway here is a couple of photos of it i don't know if it will help but at least you guys can confirm if it is the turbo as I am not 100% sure on engine componenets.

Hi, I have just gone through the box of bits that I got after the engine swap and here are some photos of things which I don't now what they are. I think one of the photos is of injectors.

The photo of the radiator is so you can tell me if you think it is worth trying to sell.

I also have the fan cowl, the air filter box, a selection of hoses. clutch plate and housing I think, alternator, turbo and expansion tank. Do you guys think any of this stuff would sell or is it not really worth anything?

Sorry to bring this up but it is now the last time I ask before it all gets skipped.

I'd keep the hoses alternator and turbo just in case, Polish and fit the expansion tank if it's a brass one for a laff, Ebay the clutch housing and bin the rest.
 
Hi, Is this the clutch housing and the tank looks very scabby so I take it just that that as well.

Aye polish yer expansion tank up it'll look reet grand in there amongst a load of oily ****e. And junk the clutch, I thought you meant the ally casing that joins the injun to the bell housing.
