Changing From Air - Whats your thoughts?

I used this kit when I changed a couple of months ago :- http://www.mm-4x4.com/range-rover-1995---2002-coil-spring-conversion-kit-2389-p.asp Best move I ever made - handles far better than when on air As long as you can live without being able to adjust the suspension height then don't be...

    gearbox fault p38 1996

You never know - a lot of duff batteries out there Got to be worth checking your terminal connections are tight and check what voltage you have there and what the alternator is chucking out At least it would eliminate this if everything is OK - always best to start with the simple things when...

    High mileage P38

That's at about two grand too dear for a P38 with that sort of mileage and age - I wouldn't bother unless he half's the price AND it has a FULL service history There will be plenty more comes up cheaper and/or lower mileage than that

    gearbox fault p38 1996

Almost certainly a bad connection or even first signs of alternator/battery problems as "gearbox fault " is almost always the first message a flat/not charging battery throws up

    My First Real Problem !!!!!!

Once you refit the compressor start the engine and crack the drivers door open, let it tick over for about 5-10 mins then jump in, shut the door and up she comes - you may have to "remind" the system by pressing the height switch till normal height flashes

    Hissing from Rear Drivers side

Leaks from the air bags sometimes only occur at a particular ride height - when you heard the hissing had you dropped the car to access height by any chance, or was it sitting at normal height ? You don't need a garage - as already said arm yourself with a spray bottle full of soap and water and...

    Tyres/tires

That's not what I meant - and you know it ! :p My spare doesn't match the rest of my tyres either but of course I would be happy to use it until I could get the tyre sorted I just feel personally, I am happier having matching tyres on a car weighing in excess of 2 tons and being capable of a...

    Tyres/tires

As long as they are all he same size it won't affect the 4wd system -mind you, I f it was me I would be changing them for a matching set Tyres have different handling characteristics and may lead to some "interesting" handling, especially in the wet Don't be so tight, buy a new set - is it worth...
